Year five maths.

Hola Bloggers,

In Te Waka Ako the Year 5's have been doing some separate maths. For our first lesson we had some special guests come in  to talk about it. They first explained  how to get into the app (Ako Maths) and how to find our lessons. Then we started. All we had to do is watch some videos and then answers some questions on a quiz that is linked to that in particular video. All together there is 13 videos and I am up to the ninth one so far. In the next few lessons we have had all we had to do was watch the videos and answer the quizzes. I find this maths really fun If you ever want to do some Ako Maths just search this akomaps.com.

Swimming at School.

Swimming

 Kia Ora Bloggers,

In Waitemata we have been learning how to fall into the pool and safe yourself.  We had to fall into the water because we live in a big country surrounded by water and we have to learn be safe. If you ever fall into the water it important to learn how to save yourself. Miss Daly my teacher told us to lie on the pool side wall and she would push us in and we had to turn onto of backs. After we had fallen into the pool we had to swim through the current. One by one we swam through people whooshing the water everywhere like we were swimming through the current. Another thing that we all had to do was a challenge we had sculling to try and not touch the bottom of our pool for three whole minutes. By the way our pool is up to my waist and I am not that tall. When it was my turn I was surprised I don't think my class had very much power because it was easy to swim through the pretend current. Anyway I had an amazing swimming time doing these things. When you have any free time please leave a comment

My Picasso Self Portrait.

Talofa Lava, Bloggers

Through out the past few weeks I have been working on my Picasso self portrait with my friends during either art or finishing. Here are the steps of how I have completed my art. Step One: draw your outline of a crazy Portrait. It could be of you or just a crazy person. I chose to do a crazy person. Step two: colour in your picture with really strong colours, just one tip Picasso's Never have white spaces so I am adding more colour to my hat. Step three: trace around  your pencil lines with vivid to make your outline stand out. If coping my steps does not help here is a link of the video my class used. I hope you have fun drawing your portrait. Down below is a picture of mine.

Lockdown 4

 Kia ora Bloggers,

How did you guys feel about being back in lockdown? I felt awful I hate having to go in lockdown. It was hard for me to keep track of what I was doing because we had to babysit my little baby cousin. Every day we have to complete 3 or more pieces of work. Because it is hard for the teachers to find all of the students work. We had to put our work on a special slideshow to show our work. My favourite school activity was doing my Pepeha As a extra piece of work. It was my favourite thing to do because I got to spend heaps of time with my family during this to get photos of my family. My favourite activity to do at home was my online Acro class. Acro is cool flexibility tricks and stuff like that. Anyway I got a brand new gym mat for it which I was also really excited about. Coming back to school for me is amazing because you get to see all of your friends even though you have to social distance a little bit. Anyway here is a picture and a link to My Pepeha.
